What Will You Learn?
The General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) programme is a three-year diploma course designed for students who aspire to build a meaningful career in nursing and patient care. The programme combines classroom learning with extensive clinical training, equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to provide quality healthcare services.
The curriculum introduces students to the fundamentals of nursing, human anatomy and physiology, community health, medical and surgical nursing, maternal and child health, mental health nursing, and first aid. As the programme progresses, students gain practical experience through supervised clinical postings in hospitals and community healthcare settings, allowing them to apply their learning in real-life situations.
In addition to clinical competence, the programme focuses on developing communication skills, teamwork, leadership qualities, and professional ethics. Students are trained to provide compassionate, patient-centred care while responding effectively to the healthcare needs of individuals, families, and communities.
The GNM programme prepares graduates to work confidently in hospitals, primary healthcare centres, maternity units, rehabilitation centres, and various other healthcare settings, making a valuable contribution to society
